Orange County Tummy Tuck and Orange County Abdominoplasty-Is it safe to lipo also?

There are patients that have great improvement in body contouring after Orange County tummy Tuck or Orange County Abdominoplasty.  There are however some patients who may need some additional sculpting in addition to the tummy tuck performed.  Such areas may include extra fullness in the upper abdomen, hips or flanks and upper back.

Liposuction can be performed in conjunction to a tummy tuck procedure to greatly enhance the results.  However, this must be done very cautiously because of potential complications.  Liposuction of the hips in addition to abdominoplasty is safe and commonly down to contour the waistline.  Liposuction of the upper abdomen has to be done very carefully and by experienced board certified plastic surgeon to help avoid any wound healing complications.  Liposuction of the upper abdomen should never be done in conjunction to an abdominoplasty procedure.
